History
The origin of Equitable Trust dates from the founding in 1930 of Equitable Securities Corporation in Nashville, Tennessee.
Equitable Trust Company was founded in 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the successor corporation to the earlier Equitable Securities Corporation.
In 2001, the original management group of Equitable Trust purchased the company and established it as an independent trust company with principal offices in Nashville.
